Central Returns to NCAA Men’s Cross Country Meet

Racing to its fourth consecutive appearance in the NCAA Division III national meet, the Central men’s cross country squad placed 25th in the U.S.

Senior Cole Decker received all-America distinction by finishing 28th. He was also named the Central Region athlete of the year after winning the NCAA regional meet staged on Central’s on-campus course Nov. 14. Decker, junior Isaac Steffensmeier and sophomore Tanner Rathje earned all-conference honors.

The Dutch women were fourth in the league and 16th at the 30-team regional meet. Sophomore Holly McKinney was 14th at the conference meet, but surged to 13th in a 205-runner field at the regional.
