I recorded my first ever CD – “My Tribute” – which includes original piano arrangements of favorite hymns and a recording of “Betsy’s Song,” which I wrote for my sister’s wedding. I’m recording a Christmas album, which I expect to release in fall 2016.
One of my work study jobs was as a member of the Sports Information Office. The experience was invaluable, as I enjoyed having a front row seat to many historic athletic events and successes, while learning about communications and teamwork from one of the best in Larry Happel.
Many of my close friends are from Central. I have great memories hanging out in Pietenpol and Vance, and developing friendships through InterVarsity, Cornerstone singing group, accompanying music lessons, and serving as a Student Senate officer and S.O.S. leader.
I have a saying that “All roads lead back to Central.” That was underscored at Homecoming last fall when I enjoyed catching up with more than 70 friends who attended our 20th class reunion. We had an epic time reminiscing and reconnecting!

Kevin, I still remember when you were a student and I often talked with you when I was the
secretary in the Music Office. I’ll always remember your cheerful smile. Nice to see the
picture of you! It sounds as though music is still an important part of your life. Where do you
live and work now? I retired from the Music Dept. in 1995 and then worked part time at the
switchboard in the Student Union until late 2007. I had my second hip replacement in Jan.of
2008 and lost my husband two weeks later. I sold my home a year later and moved to an
apartment here in Pella. It sounds like you have and interesting life. I wish you continued
success and happiness!
