Recently I learned that among 17,000 applicants, I was one of 2,000 awarded the National Science Foundation GRFP Fellowship. This means I have been awarded funding for up to 3 years of my graduate training at the University of Wisconsin Madison, where I am pursuing a PhD in genetics. I am studying the innervation of the mammalian lung in the lab of Xin Sun.
