Leah Schroeder Gerhard ’70

We are keeping busy and trying to stay out of trouble!  My husband Gary retired about 5 years ago but has since gone back to work as a contract worker for Concho. I have several volunteer jobs at our church, Midland Children’s Rehab Center, delivering Meals on Wheels and tutoring dyslexic children. We manage to stop in Pella on our way to Illinois from our home in Midland, Texas, especially to stop at Jaarsma’s bakery. I have Gary hooked on their pastries, and I love the Dutch letters. The campus has really changed a lot in 45 years – but it’s as beautiful as ever.
