On a trip to Central College with parents 8-year-old Grant Fletcher from Norwalk, Iowa, managed to convince his mom that he didn’t need another Central College t-shirt from the Spirit Shoppe – – what he really wanted was the rather expensive Under Armour backpack. He was able to make his case when he assured Amanda that the backpack would last him much longer and see him through the rest of his education. On the way home, however, he admitted that he “really just wanted to wear it to school every day to tease Mrs. Anderson. You know, she likes Simpson.” The next thing Amanda and Justin knew, their son, along with his Principal, made a bet that if Central College beat the Simpson College softball team, where Mrs. Anderson is the softball coach, Mrs. Anderson had to wear a Central College shirt to school all day. This picture speaks volumes for the end result of their bet. Go Dutch!
