Amanda Terrell Orr ’98 and Natalie Vander Broek Yungner ’99

Amanda received the Darcell Palmer Award for Integrity on Behalf of Children from Kidpower of Colorado, a nonprofit located in Colorado Springs, where Natalie Vander Broek Yungner ’99 is a senior instructor. Both from Colorado Springs, Colorado, and are both doing great things in their community. Kidpower teaches personal safety skills that children and teens use to reduce their risk of abuse, assault and abduction. Through her role with the Colorado Springs Police Department, Amanda was pivotal in creating a partnership between Kidpower and the CSPD that allowed more than 3,000 young people to receive Kidpower services. Through this relationship, Amanda met Natalie Vander Broek Yungner ’99.
