After 41years of looking back fondly on their college days, one bunch of Baby Boomers has decided to pass those memories on to someone else.
In honor of their class, graduates of 1971 are in the process of establishing an endowed scholarship that will produce annual scholarships for students attending Central. Jim Coddington ’71 is one of the class members tasked with raising $25,000 for the scholarship. With fewer family commitments for most members, the class decided it was the right time to give back to their alma mater.
“People with a Central College education and fond memories of the place got together and decided the right thing to do would be to help someone else have a similar experience,” Coddington says.
Coddington knows the value of scholarships for every Central student, and with a generous endowment, he is eager for the future: “My hope is that Central continues to turn out well-rounded, clear-thinking, world-engaged graduates who go out and live good lives.”
