Thank you Central College (and my friend, Ann) for hosting the event with Tony Wilson at Hoyt Sherman Place. One important reminder that Tony gave me was to keep the past in the past. When we think of things that have hurt us in the past, the painful feelings come back…..because, as we know, thoughts trigger our feelings! So, live in the now. Change your way of thinking about difficult events from the past–view them as a lesson or maybe even as a necessary event that got you to where you are now. (And, I am not a Central alum, but “graduation year” was a required field–so I had to select something! ) 🙂
