Dan Drees ’87 was awarded the Le Prix d’Honneur and Le Prix de l’Ambassade de France for his performance on level 2 of last spring’s Diplome d’Aptitude Pratique au Francais (DAPF), sponsored by the Japanese Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. Dan is grateful to Madame Denise Murray for everything she taught him. He also passed level 1 of the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) in December. Dan lives in Aizu-Wakamatsu City, Fukushima Prefecture, Japan, where he is an assistant English teacher for the municipal public schools
