Interim registrar and associate professor of exercise science Leslie Duinink ’90 (B.A., history with emphasis in secondary education; M.A., physical education/athletic training, Indiana State University) has been appointed registrar.
Duinink has spent the past 21 years in various roles at Central, including 10 as an elected faculty member of the curriculum committee, seven as secretary and one as chair. Duinink teaches athletic training and exercise science and has been both assistant and head athletic trainer at Central. She also served three years as class dean.
“Leslie brings exceptional experience and understanding to the role of registrar,” says Mary E.M. Strey, vice president for academic affairs and dean of faculty. “Her experience has given her the opportunity to recognize opportunities for curricular innovation, process clarification and student support.”
