The Central women’s golf team claimed a pair of tournament titles but came up short in its bid to defend its Iowa Conference title, finishing second in the 72-hole league meet.
That’s despite a late surge by junior Brittany Coppess, who placed second in the conference at 85-76- 80-77—318. Senior Cierra Pulse also gained all-league distinction with a sixth-place effort.
Central earlier won the six-team Mount Mercy Early Bird Classic and the 11-team Simpson Fall Invitational.
