Dutch Women Make First NCAA Golf Trip, Men Fourth in League

Earning a first-ever NCAA Division III tourney berth, the Central women’s golf team nearly made the final cut, placing 16th in the elite field in Houston, Texas, May 9-12.

Needing a top-15 finish, coach Tim Wilkinson’s squad was still a surprise at 336-332-337—1005. Sophomore Brittany Coppess (81-85-80) and junior Cierra Pulse (84-75-87) led the Dutch at 246.

Meanwhile the Dutch men were fourth in the Iowa Conference in coach Jon Olson’s first campaign. Freshman Kobe Rhodes was 11th at 81-77-80—238 and sophomore Spencer Welch was 14th at 83- 79-78—240.
