Kids ages 9 to 11 learned about cooking, gardening and nutrition during Central’s first-ever Fun with Food camp, planned by Brian Campbell, Giselle Bruskewitz, Sarah Shuger-Fox and Richard Phillips. Besides lessons in the Central College Garden, camp activities included field trips to egg farms and other community locations — not to mention a Top Chef competition finale. The group included participants from Central’s adopted class at Findley Elementary School in Des Moines.
