The experience of studying abroad has inspired many Central students to write about their travels. Since 1990, these essays have appeared in The Writing Anthology, providing a window into another place, and sometimes a closer look at our own backyard. In summer 2015, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of Central study abroad, alumni travel writing was collected and published in the anthology World Class: 25 Years of Central College Travel Writing. Stories reflect on everywhere from London to Vienna to Tunisia, and even Pella, and they showcase the impact of study abroad on the lives of the writers.
